Windstar Cruises has begun the process of adding three new all-suite power yachts, and has completed the renovation three sailing yachts. The Star Pride is Windstar’s first all-suite power yacht, and is part of Windstar’s efforts to expand their fleet. Following the May 2014 introduction of Star Pride, Windstar Cruises will take possession of two additional yachts in April and May of 2015. Star Pride’s European voyage collection will include new itineraries for Windstar in Europe such as a voyage in the Black Sea. These sailings are now available to book, so hurry and you can be one of the first people to sail Windstar’s new itineraries on their newest ship in 2014! 
Windstar will take possession of the three all-suite ships over the next two years. Each ship holds 208 passengers, and the Seabourn Pride will be the first ship to enter the fleet in April of 2014. It will undergo a Windstar-branded renovation, be given a new name, and then set sail a month later in the Mediterranean in May 2014. These voyages on the newly acquired ship are expected to go on sale in May of 2013, so stay tuned! Windstar will get the other two ships in April 2015 and May 2015, and will start sailing them in May of 2015 following their dry-dock period.
These sailings will continue Windstar's signature deck barbecue and popular watersports platform perfect for everything from water-skiing to windsurfing! The 148-passenger Spirit was recently renovated, with a makeover of reception area, a makeover of The Restaurant and an expansion of the outdoor seating area of the The Compass Rose lounge to an outdoor deck. Windstar has agreed to purchase three of Seabourn's small ships: Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Legend, and Seabourn Spirit. This purchase continues Windstar's path of growth under the project name Global Windstar. Windstar Cruises will now become the market leader in small-ship cruising, and for the first time they will expand their sailings to new regions like Asia and South America. Along with this expansion, Windstar will be returning to Tahiti with the newly renovated Wind Spirit. 
This Global Windstar project also comes with Windstar's return to Tahiti in May of 2014. Excitment is growing for these sailings since Tahiti has been the number one requested destination from Windstar guests. The Wind Spirit will begin 7-day voyages from Papeete, Tahiti on May 2, 2014, and sail the South Pacific Islands through November 7, 2014. The week-long voyage will begin in the capital city of Papeete, Tahiti and cruise through the Society Islands of Moorea, Taha'a, Raiatea, Huahine, and Bora Bora.
